Well
There were the Disciple of Christ, and the Trojans. There were the Marines at Normandy and the Manhattan Project. And don't forget the '85 Bears.

The Pats are great, but I think the Disciples of Christ could handle the New York Giants.

I can say one thing...
Randy Moss is FAR and AWAY the best receiver in the NFL right now and may possibly be the best in history when he is done.

screw the pats...
i hope they never win a game in the history of the world for ever from this point on.

i am very emotional about this, im not really sure why. i absolutely hate them simply because of their recent success. similar to my absurd hate for the usc trojans, because of the recent success.

i think i have a disease...

i love the double standard
two years ago tom brady "just won" and "didn't care about stats" and somehow the implication was that Manning both did and that good passing stats somehow hurt your chances of winning...

now... what?

didn't Manning sit out week 17 in 2004 btw?

by royalsreview on Dec 30, 2007 12:29 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

yea...
manning threw something like 90 less passes than brady has so far this season.

i hate the colts, big time, but i severely hope they beat the pats, if it comes to that.

i hate the pats. bigger time.

again, dont judge me. i know im not making sense right now...

I have the same disease.
For some reason I just grow to hate teams that do very well for several years.  Three years ago the Patriots were just fine.  Now I root against them every week.  Same with the Red Sox.  I despised Duke for years.  Why does this happen?

For some reason I have trouble even fully loving the Basketball Jayhawks because it just seems so easy to pull for them.  And part of the reason I could commit to the Royals pretty quickly was because they seemed so in need of support.

It really is a form of mental illness.

So, who is your NFL playoff mistress?  I guess I will root for the Packers.

I agree... I hate the Yankees.
Even with Girardi as manager... I will still want them to lose to anybody and everybody.  It is toss up between the Colts and the Patriots though.  So, I guess I have the same disease.

it has been the browns for some time...
they always suck and lose and all that jazz, reminded me of the chiefs, so i was rooting for them. but now that they chocked themselves out of the playoffs, i am going to go with the titans. i have always loved vince young.

and in the nfc, i love brett favre and i dont like any other playoff team.

so packers it is!

4-12!
I was rooting hard for them to lose. Improve your draft standing!

Me too
When they tied the score I knew we were screwed, but thank goodness they are the 2007 Chiefs and can always find a way to lose

Depends
If they dominate on their way to the super bowl, then they are probably the greatest

I too hate the Pats but, this is something special that I never thought would happen again, so I can't help but root for them

Also, I love that they go for it on 4th when they have the lead and run up the score, it's very arrogant and kind of an f you to the league, I know alot of people are against me on this, but if the other teams don't like it they should stop them, that is what they get paid to do, if you can't stop it don't whine

yep
I agree with that last part.
I may be the only one here, but I do like the Pats.

the running up the score doesnt bother me

They're Pretty Damned Good
You just get the impression the players are well-prepared and expect to do their jobs well all the time.

A lot of people hate Belichick, but the guy's obviously got a way with leading men toward a common goal.

90% of this game is half mental

Yea
But I wish he would at least enjoy it. I don't get what the point of winning is if you never seem to enjoy it.
