Good news during a slump

Well, I have two bits of good news on this, a dreary day (both in weather here and because of the Royals' continued string of Ls).

  1. German turned out to be OK. Yesterday's problems seem to be no more, meaning we can keep our lineup from looking like a patchwork quilt.
  2. I officially got a job today. Better news: It's in Royals coverage territory, so I can finally get local media for the Boys in Blue. I'll be within a few hours of the K, too.
P.S.: I think I'm now entering the second stage of grief referring to this slump (Anger). I already passed through the denial stage. Do you think Meche will pull through tomorrow afternoon?

Other good news
  1. Gordon didn't strike out today. Is today the first time this has happened?
  2. De la Rosa had 6 K's and no walks. Is today the first time this has happened?

Good to hear about your job
Also, I'm entering the anger phase too. I have to watch it. My wife says I have been in a really nasty mood the last three days. I don't think anyone wants a Royal win more than her.

Third Stage
I'm pretty well past angry and have jumped headlong into bargaining.  I've been spending teh past couple of day trying to figure out what moves can be made to put a charge into this team, the problem is BB is an idiot.  I think BB should go with the George Costanza decision making model.  The one that states if every decision you make is wrong you shoudl just do the opposite of whatever your initial instinct is.

Congratulations on getting that job!
That's awesome that you'll be within media range. I can't imagine being a fan outside of the bubble - it would be very hard.

it is
ridiculously hard. Coming back home was the most wonderful feeling...I don't have to pay to get a radio feed, I can watch the games on TV. Life is good.

Gordo struck out today... and is 0-3...
I am past anger and into wonder.  Wondering what the hell GMDM is doing.  He has to see how bad his managerial staff is.

Thanks
I appreciate all the warm wishes. Oh, how I long for Royals local media... just a month or so away.
