What's he gonna do?

My first diary on here, so I'll keep it short and sweet. How do you think Dice K will do tomorrow? Is all this pressure gonna just be too much for his first start? More importantly, hows Greinke gonna handle going up against this guy in his first start in so long? Just curious what you all think. Oh, and who all is lucky enough to be joining me and watching it all first hand tomorrow?

Heres how it will go
Dice-K 6 IP, 9 K, 3 ER, 3BB
Zackie 7 IP, 7 K, 2 ER, 1BB

Royals win 4-3 in dramatic fashion as Shealy hits a walk off solo shot to win it.

but...
I'm more focused on Odie actually being worth a hoot tonight

In my dreams
Classic pitchers duel between AL ROY contender and potential comeback player of the year contender

Dice-K  8IP, 11K, 2ER, 1BB

Greinke 6 2/3 IP 7K 1 ER 2BB
Gobble  1 1/3 IP 1K 0 ER 0BB
Riske   1 IP  2K's 0 ER 1BB (intentional to Manny)

Royals win on Dice-K's only mistake - a 2 run jack by Alex Gordon in a rookie showdown.  Now that'd be the s**t.

I will substitute Braun for Riske....
and hope that it is a come from behind 3-2 victory by the boys in blue.

Braun is on my fantasy team.

I am hoping that Odie comes out and pitches well tonight.  It will be cold so I think it will be a low scoring game....maybe.

The way I see it
Dice-K 7 1/3 IP  7 K  4ER  2BB
Takes a no hitter into the 7th.  He get's pulled after losing his contol and giving up a grand slam to Gordon.

Greinke  6 IP  8 K  3 ER 1BB
He could go longer, but his pitch count is over 100, so Bell pulls him after 6.

Soria relives young Zack.  Pitches 2 scoreless innings, walking one and striking out 2.

The Royals take a 1 run lead into the bottom of the 9th.  Bring in Riske, who lives up to his name by wlaking the bases loaded before Ortiz grounds into a double play to end the game.

Royals win...4-3.

If it weren't for baseball I'd be working.

Personally
I'd love to see Greinke pitch an absolute Gem on a national stage and see all that Japanese press have to write home about a mediocre start by Mr. Hype.

Matsuzaka is going to be tough
Even if he isn't the next great thing, Matsuzaka is going to be tough on the Royals.  He is clearly at least a good pitcher and the Royals have never faced him before.  That's going to be tough to deal with.  I hope they stay patient and maybe they'll have better luck the third time through the order.

I think Zack will do well too.  This one could come down to bullpens.

I really don't much care how Matsuzaka pitches.  What I care about more than anything is a good start for Greinke.  Zack Greinke developing into a #2-#3 starter for the Royals is the best thing that could happen this season.

Well...
Brazleton is straight-up awful, Hendrickson just finished unpacking, and Day's arm is held together by chewing gum.
