I am so damn optimistic after the back to back wins that I thought I'd look into Baseball Prospectus' playoff odds today.
Team - Projected record - Chance of making the postseason
Indians - 91-71 - 61%
Tigers - 87-76 - 40%
Twins - 83-79 - 25%
White Sox - 76-86 - 7%
Royals - 62-100 - 0.16149%
I think that is crap! I don't see the over/under for this team still being a 100 loss season! can it really happen again?
Oh, and the team Krivsky continues to destroy a little more every day he lives, ....
Reds - 73-89 - 2%
The Reds were in first place much of last year and in the hunt until the 161st game of the season. Way to go Wayne. Royals fans need to count their blessings. It could be so much worse. If you measured the competence gulf between Krivsky and Moore you would find Allard Baird sitting at about the mid-point. There is hope in KC, and just rage and denial in Cincinnati. The Reds are being run by a paranoid nasty delusional nutcase jackass jock-wanna-be. That front office needs to be napalmed. As a Reds fan of 22 years, I just can't follow the team closely anymore. I get too angry.
The Royals are not the worst team according to the seers at BP:
Nationals - 61-101 - (who still have a three times better chance of making the playoffs than the Royals.)
