Here's some news you may not have heard

It seems the Royals may be grooming Leo Nunez to become a starter.

I've been following his boxscores since he has returned from his injury, and he has been slowly been given more innings each time. His latest game was a start in which he was allowed to go 5 innings (zero runs, zero walks!).

What I don't know is are they planning on making this a permanent change, or are they just stretching him out because he essentially missed all of spring training?

I know the results were not really there when we've seen him in KC - but in fairness he was seriously rushed by the organization, IMHO. I will say I REALLY liked the potential in him - especially if he can add a little bit of meats to his skinny frame to help improve his stamina.

Interesting that there has been zero attention given to this development, either by the local media or by the team website (unless I missed it).

Thoughts, anyone?
