Press Conference

At 4:30 today, there will be a press conference at the Metrodome, and for whatever it is worth, Frank Boal believes that he is going to announce that he is going to step down at the end of the year, in a mutual agreement between Bell and Moore. If that's true, obviously the biggest hire of GMDM short tenure is going to come this winter. Will be interesting to see which way he goes.

Here's wishing Bell the best of luck and health in the future if this is indeed what is going to occur.

I think Terry Pendleton or Frank White could do a good job giving the 10 pm sports.

Meche was more important

I think we'll look back at the turning point for this team as the day he signed Meche. It set a tone, said to the league "we aren't going to be taken lightly anymore" and told the fans that the GM has the faith and support of the owners to pay the money. The fact that Meche has lived up to the deal (so far) is almost as important to it's place in history.

Now, if we sign Andruw Jones and get to watch him hit his 400th, 500th HRs in a KC uniform, that will be bigger.

Who we get to be the next fan punching bag will end up well down the list.
