Poor guy.
Every spin, it was, "Pat, I'd like a W"
and every single time, he said, "Sorry, there's no W for you."
So he tried a different tactic. "Can I get an R?"
Sometimes, he'd get that, but never more than one or two. And he immediately followed it up with a request for a W, which kept on being denied him.
Later that evening, he went into Dayton Moore's office. "Dayton," he said, "we'd better buy some O, because 55 Ms isn't enough for five years of Ls. I've even led this team in Ks, but if no one gives me any Rs, it won't do me or the team any good."
"Is there any particular position you have in mind, Gil?"
"Dayton, let me have a new backup C."
