Did somebody say
Free Agent Power play?
Hes #1 on the market.
Accidentally not thedude925 anymore. I do hate this new name.
Shrewd move by Colletti
He declines the option and then re-signs him for 3/12. Saves some money and keeps a solid SS on the 25-man roster. This guy just knows how to build a winner.
This is just my opinion. I could easily be wrong.

are there any left
who meet Snakeskin Boots’ stringent age/grit/washed-up requirements?
Ryan Langerhans: No way. No one realizes that he’s actually a good deal as free talent, so Ned doesn’t want him. He’s only 28. Work on your bunting and call back 5 years, kid.
Rocco Baldelli: championship experience! Everyone knows his name. Career-threatening health problems. Bad plate patience. Unfortunately, Rocco is not yet 30. Maybe a back-up plan.
Mark Kotsay: Formerly good? Check. Old enough? Check?.Finished a major leaguer? Check. Unfortuneatley, there’s no way someone’s going to overpay enough — no one knew who Kotsay was in 2004 when was good, so Ned’s probably never heard of him.
Jay Payton: See Mark Kotsay, without the “formerly good” stuff.
Bernie Williams: would be a total bingo, except Bernie said he’d wouldn’t play for anyone but the Yankees.
Ken Griffey, Jr.: WE HAVE A WINNER!

In other news,
grass is green, birds fly, and I prefer baseball statistics to real life.
A mind without purpose will walk in dark places.
But
All I kept hearing late in the year was how awesome Berroa was!
