Was talking with a scout recently, trying to gauge how the outside world looks at the Royals. I asked him if what he thought of Gordon, and he says, "Love him. We'd love to have him, what would it take?"

Now, this scout works for a team with several young and established stars in baseball, so I joked that he could include those two stars. a low-level prospect, and the Royals would throw in Jose Guillen. It was a joke, obviously.

I'm not sure the scout understood this. "No deal," he said, then he asked me where to find good Mexican food in Kansas City.

One of the commenters “Chaim Mattis Keller” refers to himself as “New York City’s # 1 Royals Fan!” I don’t know if NYRoyal lives in the NYC, but either he has a different username of he has some competition.

I think they should duke it out. But in a gentlemanly way.

I have a photo

of the Kauffman Stadium scoreboard welcoming me as the Royals “Most Loyal fan.”

What’s he got?

What I've got

A Thunderdome-style steel cage, some hand-to-hand combat weapons, and an open spot on my calendar. My proposal: two NYC Royals fans enter, one NYC Royals fans leaves. There can only be one.

This is just my opinion. I could easily be wrong.

That's the problem with Toby, he doesn't konw when to let people out of the cage

Anyone else enjoying J. P. Howell mowing down the White Sox?

During games like this, I like reading the gamethreads at Soxtalk.com

They bash their team and whine about the umps non-stop. Their agony is delicious.

This is just my opinion. I could easily be wrong.

I'm a cheeseball, I admit it

but Baldelli scoring from first was awesome

What I want to know is

What was the answer to the last question?

Don't forget to send your broken maples to the US Forest Service.

They never got that far.

Right after the scout asked, JoPo barged in and started going off about Skyline Chili. Mellinger got bored, so he went to help JoGui bone his bats.

Mellinger always toughts

Mi Ranchito. There are several metro locations.

Panzon’s in Lenexa is good, but Ponak’s and Margarita’s get most of my business.
