I thought RR was going to start game threads for the divisionals. I'm up for it. ManRam just absolutely destroyed a mistake by Hamels, maybe the longest 2B I've ever seen.

If no one else is participating, I'll just hang out here in my loft (the rough equivalent of a mother's basement) and blog myself silly. Wow, Kemp has some kind of platoon split; .369 against LHP, .280 overall. I think this is 75 words now. Hot dog bun (just to be sure).

I’m a contrarians contrarian, but it really bugged me, too

I might take it more seriously if they didn’t ‘talk about Manny attacking the travel assistant in the same voice they use to talk about him jogging to first or (Buck) used to talk about Randy Moss’ “disgusting act.”

Don’t expect a superstar… He’s a good player (unlike Jose Guillen, he’s actually a good player, not some guy who used to be good who had a lucky good year in the midst of a decline).

that’s why a bad series might keep his price down. I read that Furcal might not be able to get 3/39 again. that would make him cheaper than what people are projecting for Burrell and Dunn.

I think JoPo's interview with Dayton was revealing

he has a decent (if not brilliant or original) rebuilding plan, but his “win now” thing might sucker him into things like the Guillen contract

Furcal wouldn’t have the immediate impact that Dunn would, but he might be a bit cheaper, and the Royals don’t have anyone else in the org other than Aviles who can play even replacement level SS
