Kind of surprised this was the only move.

Protecting him made sense

And Lumsden didn’t warrant protecting. BTW, today was the deadline for setting your 40-man roster to protect them in the Rule 5 draft.

This is just my opinion. I could easily be wrong.

I have no problem with the move

and I’m not overly familiar with other rule v eligible royals, but I’m surpised Fulchino and Jason Smith survived.

And Mario Lisson

At least Lisson is young

You mean picked up in the rule 5 draft?

Isn’t it pretty rare for a player to get picked coming off of two horrible seasons? I don’t think anyone will take him, and if they did, I wouldn’t care for a second.

This is just my opinion. I could easily be wrong.

Not true NYRoyal!

It took you longer then a second to write that you did not care (to show interest) therefore you did care. :)

Go Royals!

Kinda silly that Fulchino and Smith are protected

While guys like Blake Johnson, Chris Nicoll and Jarrod Plummer are not, but then again, I don’t think its at all likely that any of these unprotected guys get taken, so it likely won’t matter much.

Smith...

looks to be number 4 on the depth chart right now for middle infielder. I guess we do need to trade for a middle infielder.

Go Royals!

Little Poppy Needs

To go away by whatever means necessary.

I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.

Or take one in the Rule 5!

I actually kinda like minor league FA Callix Crabbe. He can draw walks, and he fits into our “funny alliterative name” philosophy.
