Forget about what you actually think about the wisdom of his likely contract. Forget how helpful or unhelpful it might be for a team like the Nationals to invest in one player like that.
Just think about how nice it would be to see someone out of the Angels/Dodgers/Yankees/Red Sox/Cubs cabal snagging one of these guys.
