Oh, to be a LHP and have a pulse; $1.3M/1 and he doesn't even have to go to Canada.

How did we let him get away?

I wish I was a LHP

I’d be in Maroth’s shoes!

It's Early Here

But that doesn’t excuse the “sigh instead of sign” typo in the headline. It may be oddly appropriate in some oblique way, but not intentional.

I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.

Hmmm.... DeRosa to the Indians?

That might not be a good deal for the Royals. I see him as the type of player that will murder the Royals in Kauffman and The Jake.

Great pickup for the Indians

Very good player. I don’t know how good the pitching prospects they gave up are, but Derosa is an excellent addition. That just made the best team in the division better.

Supposedly

None made Sickels top 20 list or honorable mention, so they don’t seem to be much if you value his opinion at all.

Looks like a salary dump then

Hell, it looks like they gave him away. I’d have been happy to give the Cubs three marginal prospects for him. Of course, this is a one-year rental. 1 yr/$5.5M

Plus

You probably get a draft pick for him.

Definitely

The only question is whether he’ll be a Type A or Type B. That is, if they don’t re-sign him.

I'm still cranky that they didn't sign Joe Nelson
