He's very insightful and writes well.  But he's also snarky, mean spirited, confrontationally blunt and intentionally incendiary.  He makes me sound like Mother Theresa.

Looks like he's just coming off of food poisoning, and he was being bombarded by Huckabee references (which he said at the outset would annoy him.)

Then again, maybe he's always this way.  I haven't read any othere chats from him; maybe he's just a wanker.

Cardinals fans might be thinking along the same

lines.  Revenge move against the Royals.  Kansas City sent them Wellemeyer and LaRue, we are due a bit of misery moving east to west.  Just to keep things even.

Actually, I am moderately happy with the signing.  It is a minor league deal so basically no risk.  And Maroth has some chance at regaining form and being a contributor.
