Update on Yasuhiko Yabuta
As most of us know Yabuta got taged by a Ryan Braun liner in their first exibition game in Milwalkee which kind of has some of us worried. He got hit in the leg and had to leave the game but the X-rays were negative, he suffered a leg contusion and didn't really say how long he could be out. Here is the official release from royals.com
"MILWAUKEE -- Royals reliever Yasuhiko Yabuta was taken out of Friday night's game against the Milwaukee Brewers after being struck by a sharp drive. He escaped serious injury, however.
Yabuta was drilled in the right leg by a ball off the bat of Ryan Braun in the sixth inning. He was replaced by Brad Salmon.
X-rays were negative and Yabuta suffered a contusion.
"He was in pain. He took a pretty good shot," manager Trey Hillman said.
Braun was just the second batter that Yabuta faced. He struck out Prince Fielder on three pitches before Braun's shot, which went for a single.
Yabuta, expected to be the right-handed set-up man in the bullpen, was pitching in his 12th spring game. He has a 6.94 ERA. "

That's good news
When I heard he was injured, I was hoping it wasn't his shoulder, elbow or something involving the mechanics of throwing. Getting hit by a comebacker and not breaking anything is good news. Hopefully he just takes a couple days off and his ready for opening day.
I probably disagree with you.
