PTBNL
First, I'm new around here and hope to participate, but really have no idea how often I'll be commenting. Anyway, in PTBNL trades, what are the rules on when that player is named?
For instance, if Ramon Ramirez starts the season off with a great first two weeks, does his price go up? Or are their a variety of players that are put on a list when the trade is made that are deemed to be acceptable?
Hopefully, we'll come out on top in these end of ST moves. There's probably one more move to be made: Bye Bye Maban Grudzman...

There are few actual rules about this
The nature of the PTBNL is determined by the agreement the two teams make. It can be based on performance, availability or any number of factors. Often, the two teams agree to a pool of players the trading team can choose from and they pick which one they want (based on their needs and personnel situation at the time) within a set period of time. Sometimes the PTBNL is a player who was drafted or signed within the last 365 days, which means he can't be traded yet, so he is a PTBNL until the 365-day clock has run at which point he is traded.
I probably disagree with you.
