A few random questions

Hello Royals fans,

I've been a little out of touch, and I haven't been able to get out to the K or to watch many of the games on TV, so I've got a few questions for those of you who are more in the know...

1. The new scoreboard.  Is it all it's cracked up to be?  For those of you who've seen it live, what impression did it have on you?

2. Jose Guillen.  I'd like to know if he's been booed by the fans at the K yet.  For example, last night with the bases loaded when he struck out (yet again)... any boo birds out yet?

3. FSN-KC.  I have been able to watch parts of a few games in between episodes of "The Backyardigans" and "The Wonder Pets" (you feel my pain, parents?), and I've been less than impressed.  The centerfield camera problem, when the fountain water sprays the lens, is inexcusable and easily fixable, in my opinion, but they don't seem to want to fix it.  Also, there have been a number of times when it seems like the production booth and Ryan & Split are on completely different pages.  This is frustrating for the viewer, and it seems like Ryan gets frustrated as well.  So what have been your thoughts about the television broadcasts thus far?  Are you hopeful that they'll work out the bugs and present a game in a way that's not so embarrassing for Royals fans?

OK, that's it... sorry for the mundane post, but I'm trying to get back in the loop.

there is a growing anti-guillen sentiment

but i don't think people are at the booing stage...

heard nothing but good things about the scoreboard, from media, pleayers, fans, etc.

K

1. The scoreboard is COMPLETELY bad ass. its amazing. i just wish they had a spot for the temperature on there cause they have everything else. plus its not like they dont have room

2. Jose Guillen did get a little booed by some fans when he struck out and i believe the frustration is building in fans. If he doesnt pick it up, there will be a lot more booing.. and speaking of booing Guillen lets see if seattle boos him on monday and tuesday

3. FSN-KC im not sure what your talking about with the centerfield camera, i havent noticed anything wrong with that. But what i have noticed is they are wrong on a lot of stats, not that they are big stats like BA but just dinky stuff like.. for example i saw this on a advertisment, " come watch the royals face off against the twins while the twins look to even things up after loosing to the royals 2-1 in a series last weekend". also sometimes they say the wrong thing.. like last night Joel Golberg was reading Livan Hernandez's stats and he said he had 13 strikeouts.. i was like WHAT!! more like 3! the day livan has 13 k's is the day ill turn purple and start a quest for pluto. and i love how Splittorf always calls Ramon Ramirez - Ramon Martinez lol

hmm

1. I agree that the scoreboard is boss. And this is coming from a female, so you know it's not that knee jerk male reaction to anything technological and fancy... ; )

2. Oooh, he's getting booed lots. And it's starting to get to me. But to be fair, tonight was a crowd full of fair weather/freebie fans. We'll see how things go tomorrow and next week when he gets out on the warmer west coast. Who knows, maybe he'll start hitting out there. And at least he's not hitting a .070 like David Ortiz. Then again, Big Papi probably isn't getting booed by his fans.
