wow!
Nomo was rated higher that TPJ or Guillen…
were all the results in before the Seattle game?
Don't Stop Believing!
Quite a few ratings were before the Seattle game (mine included)
I probably would’ve dropped my rating of Nomo a couple of notches after that performance.
ya u did right though
the analysis was only supposed to be from opening day til sunday the 13th so include nomos shitty performance on ur next analysis

he hasn't done much to date.
Don't Stop Believing!
maybe somebody sees
his success as not sustainable????
Don't Stop Believing!
the swinging at 3-0 pitches
did him in!

I guess some things are unforgivable, regardless of your stats
I probably disagree with you.

In short, nobody is perfect
I know this question was for me, but he’s allowed some baserunners. Maybe he deserves a 9.5. But if “10” is perfection (and some could interpret it that way), he hasn’t been perfect…just excellent.
I probably disagree with you.

I have a better question
In what way is my decision to give Soria the highest grade I feel comfortable giving even worth questioning me over? It’s not like I gave someone else a 10 and didn’t feel Soria was up to it, and it’s not like Soria’s failure to get an overall 10 from our vast readership is the end of the world.
NYRoyal answered your question for me, for the most part. I won’t withhold a 10 for a lack of perfection—if I did that, no hitter would ever get one, obviously. But Soria did have that one outing he had to pitch like a bat out of hell to escape, so no. No 10.
Sarcasm™. It's the new gravy.
Ok.. i understand.. but still.
1 Point is now interpreted for 2 basehits in 7 innings..

No 1-10 rating system is perfect
I probably disagree with you.

??
i was saying he gave soria a 9 based off 2 hits he gave up ?? because thats all he has done that was perfected.

I'm saying that 1-10 rating systems are inherently vague
All we really know is that 1 is very low/bad and 10 is very high/good. It’s fair to interpret 10 is perfection. Soria hasn’t been perfect. He did have a shaky, but effective, outing. 1 shaky outing out of 4 (in the evaluation period) can certainly be interpreted as a 9. In fact, I want to change my Soria rating to 9.
I probably disagree with you.

Too late the results are in :D
I understand what you mean now.. i read that the wrong way i read it like so, “No, 1-10 rating system is perfect.”

I Give 1-10
Rating systems a 7.
