It was 60F with sun and no wind the last two days, but today we have smoke from Siberian forest fires and dust from Mongolian storms with wind from an approaching cold front in the Aleutians conspiring to hold the temps in the mid 40’s. I’m inside today. That’s 5:52PM in shorthand.

Anyway, we’re about 2 dozen miles from the Pacific here as the turkey vulture flies — that is, if they flew that far. Some would say that qualifies us as “west coasters”.

Perspective
George Brett’s fourth season in the majors: .333, 7 HR, .7-1 K/BB ratio. (Teahen’s never had a season worse than .5-1, by the way.)
No, I’m not trying to compare Teahen to Brett; I’m just saying, don’t throw him out with the bathwater. He’s in a slump, and he’s probably never going to be a power guy, but he’s still a decent bat.
