im feeling it
although i was thinking german might be the better move here as a pinch hitter b/c he’ll have to go into the game anyways so our bench options should this game go extra or something are nil

ive been saying for weeks now...
that buck and olivo should play simultaneously 4-5 times/week. we are so power deprived to have one of them on the bench. plus, its not like ross and his misplayed grounders and occasional infield hits are earning his PT

winning records follow good bullpens
In japan they play septa-headers
and guys throw 5000 pitches and they play the game the RIGHT WAY
(has anyone noticed how much baseball broadcasters love japanese baseball? its incredible. EVERYTHING ichiro or fukudome does is like the most awesome thing ever)
I've noticed this, and my best guess on its popularity would be
That it takes these old geezers in the announcers booth back to the “good ol’ days”, when the sacrifice bunt was king and pitchers got to throw 300 pitches a game.

are absolutely hilarious. Talk about being total homers, but it’s kind of endearing in the “99% of everything we say is inane bullshit” sort of way.

I've listened to them before and hated it, but I'm starting to enjoy it
It’s laughably bad, and they’re willing to call somebody out when they mess a play up. But they also rag on the umpires strike zones, and cheer for the home team with unbridled enthusiasm. It’s hilarious.

he doesn't look...
THAT fat. He’s like Galaraga fat.
i shouldve gone and gotten drunk tonite instead
although our royals drinking game couldve gotten pretty expensive at mcfaddens

try taking a jager shot every time the royals go 1-2-3
and chugging a beer if they screw up in the field or on the bases…it’ll getcha.
i feel like i might need to add something for every time teahen swings badly on 3-0 or misplays a flyball

If we can just chase Lee this inning, we should theoretically have a chance
Since the Indians threw half their BP game one. Lol.

by billybeingbilly on Apr 25, 2008 12:42 AM EDT reply actions
maybe we can kidnap that pedro alvarez guy from vandy...
so he lasts until the 3rd pick and he’ll immediately become our best hitter in june

I have never seen such a sorry fucking porformance in my life
Glad I wasted 6 hours of my life on watching the shitty ass royals do what they do best.. LOSE!! God FORBID we get Frank Thomas or Barry Bonds because that means we would actually have a shot at scoring over 6 runs or 1 FOR THAT MATTER! THIS TEAM BLOWS
A lot of you wont like me... by I assure you my opinion will be voiced GO ROYALS!
If we can't win with a pitching performance like that... when can we win?
winning records follow good bullpens
They'll just put up 10 runs like they've done for whta, the past 4 games in a row?

pitching isn't so much our problem

Dont be so sure..
Tomko sure sucked ass today.. this team is fucking terrible.. we cant score everything is just in the trash.. who is up for seeing if we can beat our 19 Game losing streak
A lot of you wont like me... by I assure you my opinion will be voiced GO ROYALS!
This team needs a major change
We need a legit bat, or this is going to be a long year. Let’s face it, Gordon and Butler aren’t the problem. Dejesus isn’t the problem, he’s hit when played. Teahan is slumping, but he’s been decent. The problem is… Ross Gload, Joey Gathright, Tony Pena Junior, and the rest of the jokers we’ve been running out there. Guillen has sucked, he’ll get better, but he’s no world beater. Bring on Barry Bonds.

Ya except for the retarded dayton moore said he doesnt want bonds and didnt want thomas
Why because he is STUPID… who could fear this lineup.. its fucking horrid and embarassed.. just when you think you cant be any more embarrassed for being a royals fan.. this shit happens.. everyone gets happy because we thought we were good.. then find out WE SUCK LIKE ALWAYS!
A lot of you wont like me... by I assure you my opinion will be voiced GO ROYALS!
butler isnt the problem
but i dont think anyone wanted him to be ken harvey either
he has four doubles and a HR and thats it (well, a ton of walks, which harvey never did)
Not to mention in his last 8 or so games
he is 1 for— everytime he just gets 1 hit except for tonight’s last game when he ended his streak for getting on base in every game
A lot of you wont like me... by I assure you my opinion will be voiced GO ROYALS!
Crap crap crap
what the hell does it take to win a game around here? I guess I should be happy enough that Banny seems to have his groove back after that blowout in Oakland – makes me a little hopeful for Greinke tomorrow night – but this is just downright insane already.
Gload has totally pissed me off tonight. I want my Shealy! Now!
Chaim Mattis Keller New York City's # 1 Royals fan!
as much as i hate gload, shealy is worse.
he’s hitting like 169 in AAA as a 27 year old
by billybeingbilly on Apr 25, 2008 1:10 AM EDT reply actions
I'm just frustrated with Gload tonight
His rotten fielding and pathetic situational hitting totally cost us the first game.
I know Shealy isn’t doing too great in AAA right now. I still think that he’s got the skills and power he showed in 2006 (4 homers so far!), and if someone went down injured, I wouldn’t make a slow start in the minors cause me to hesitate to call him up.

Sorry I havent been around
Wait, why I am saying sorry? Barely anyone here remembers me. Well, anyway, I have been away because of work (and I forgot my login, so i had to get a new account), and it pains me that I am missing out on all the fun here. Although the Royals have been losing badly this past week I love them just as much as ever, and hopefully we can get our funk back against the Blue Jays.
