We've got Banny

So that’s good for 6-7 innings at least

We've got Banny

And if they could stake him to a 5 run lead, he should make it through 7 in 85 pitches

Sometimes you just gotta roll the potato.

If we win

Do we have to take Oklahoma?

Relive Royals History at royalsretro.blogspot.com

by RoyalsRetro on Apr 29, 2008 11:09 PM EDT   0 recs

Now, now.

Oklahoma is a very nice state, so long as you stay east of I-35 and south of I-44 and east of OK-3.

Sarcasm™. It's the new gravy.

Hey, now...

Oklahoma’s my state, buddy. Edmond and Norman are fantastic towns. Norman, especially.

by powderbluepower on Apr 29, 2008 11:12 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Me too....

Elementary school, mostly. But Norman for college, visiting fiance (OU student) and friends, and location of future wedding.

by powderbluepower on Apr 29, 2008 11:14 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

I'll be at OU this summer

I believe. I might be mistaken. I’m going to a national conference…somewhere in Oklahoma. It should be fun.

What for?

I can tell you some great places to eat.

by powderbluepower on Apr 29, 2008 11:18 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

+1

although they’re all over the place now

by devil_fingers on Apr 29, 2008 11:20 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

They're in

Norman now, but I’ve heard bad things about that location. I was just in Norman this weekend, looking for a wedding chapel.

The original was great, but you’d miss it if you didn’t know where it was.

by powderbluepower on Apr 29, 2008 11:22 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

They are in Tulsa and Edmond as well.

And Yea that why it was Cafe escondito

by thefinerev on Apr 29, 2008 11:23 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

I'll be staying on campus with food provided

so places to eat will be unnecessary. But it’s for on-campus leadership. NACURH (which stands for National Association of College and University Residence Halls).

Boyfriend of the Year 2008: It's gonna be big!

by loyal2theroyals on Apr 29, 2008 11:19 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Couch Cafeteria

was great when I was a freshman, and from what I hear, is twice as good now. That’s probably where they’ll feed you, if it’s on-campus eateries.

Though Crossroads Restaurant is danged good, too.

Any state that has a town named Hooker

is worth scooping up.

As a Royals fan currently living in Tulsa

I await the conclusion of this game with bated breath. God we need more Royals fans out here.

Butler Swung At

At least one ball. This guy is a mess.

This One Held

His foul popup quite nicely, and the pitch was nowhere near the zone.

I realized that right before your post

But I still stand behind the Ross Gload statement. There can never be enough grit. NEVER.

Who pitches the 8th?

Do you give Nunie a chance to shake his recent blues? Yabuta the chance to see if he can complete an inning?

Speaking of Grit

If you go to the beach and get sand in your trunks, is it acceptable to say, “Darn it! I’ve got Ross Gload in my shorts”?

LOL

Rangers broadcasters

noting that David Murphy looks like Alan Ruck (Cameron in Ferris Bueller).

And I’ll be damned, he DOES.

Ramon gets a second inning

Plus we get a Ramon vs. Ramon matchup. There’s a joke in there somewhere, but I can’t find it.
