Royals Fanaticism Infused into my Wedding.
During the Royals loss to the Twins on Friday I was heavily involved in the Game Thread.
One topic of discussion was our respective levels of fanaticism. I mentioned that I made my wife place a Royals emblem with the phrase, "Lets Go Royals" at the end of our wedding program. In the spirit of full disclosure, I am posting images of other details of our wedding that I expressed my love for the Royals through.
Enjoy my sickness!

That's my dad actually . . .
He's an O's fan first, but definitely has become a Royals fan because of me.
All my Groomsmen wore the Royals keepahs/yarmukles. It was a mixed wedding ceremony, it was preformed by a Rabbi and a Priest.

That looks like the perfect wedding.
Lovely wife. And clearly a fellow Royals fan.

that definitely beats out the fact that
most of my friends know that I want to be proposed to at the K. I tell them this so they can pass on the word someday...then again, I'm only assuming that guys actually talk to the girl's friends before hand so...

yes
it's $500 (not that, you know, I've looked or anything) but you get 4 game tickets in the dugout plaza, a honeymoon suite at a 4 star hotel and a souvineer video of it all.

So, I guess every time a guy asks you out to a Royals game,
you will be kinda anxious.

not really
Only when we're sitting in the dugout plaza ;)
I'm too cheap to buy those tickets regularly.

We're not worthy! We're not worthy!
That's intense and I really respect the fanatacism. I wish I could get my fiance to go along with that. I just showed her your pics. Long story short, it ain't happenin'. Much respect on the fanatacism though.
I probably disagree with you.

Impressive....
Most impressive. My wife of 12 years, and I, wish you the best.
Let's Go Royals!
Finally coming back to the 'K'!!!! I'm going to be there 7/11/08, vs the SEA Mariners, of course!

Thanks everyone!
And for those not yet married, this type of stuff should never be considered a deal breaker, my wife knew that everything else about the wedding was her taste/design, so she let me have a couple of details.
She's not really "into" baseball, but knows that if she has to root for anyone, it had better be the Royals. She's from NY so we should all be thankful that she doesn't root for the Yanks.

If you're something blue at the Wedding
is something Royals blue, I think that has to be a good sign. Seriously, congrats!

Congrats!
I love the Royals, but apparently not as much as you two---or at least not enough to put too much money where my mouth is.
Blessings to you on your glorious day! - TL

Off topic...
I'm watching the White Sox play the Tigers, and they're just hammering Verlander. In the sixth inning, he's given up 6 runs (not all ER, I believe, though) and thrown over 100 pitches, and it just occurred to me...Brett Tomko pitched better today that Justin Verlander.
Ho....ly....crap....
by RoyalsFanInBillings on Apr 6, 2008 9:41 PM EDT 0 recs
It's why we play the games, no?
Tigers are coming to Fenway looking for a win. I'm hoping for a sweep....having the Royals and Sox crush Detroit would be awesome.

One question though, did she know you were going to post the pics so the RR faithful could fully appreciate your fanhood?

That's freaking awesome
we're coming up on our one year aniv. in june, i wish that i would have had that forsight.... although the color scheme would've been a stretch. here we are at the K last fall (sorry, pictures of wives seems like a good thread to post this one) with her mother and nephew. and yes, that's my George Brett 3 silver bats in 3 decades T-Shirt she's wearing. Congratulations!

The first thing I know about someone in a KC hat is that they're loyal.

where do you find that Royals stuff? I'm recently engaged, so I'd like to at least have some options for the wedding we're starting to plan.

it turns out
that they aren't the wedding colors. But primarily, my fiancee is not a KC fan... or a baseball fan. It's blasphemy, I know, but she'd rather go with OU (our mutual alma mater and wedding colors) than KC.
