Let's face it, Billy Butler is a pretty good hitter, I'll give him that. Trey Hillman experimenting with him at first base is pretty much a joke though. The guy is a hitter, not an athlete. Ross Gload makes high-lite plays and big-league picks at first that save Gordon and Pena every night. Butler is not athletic enough to make the plays that Gload does. And get Ross up to bat with guys on, he gets RBI's. But he either leads the inning off or hits with two outs and no one on it seems like every night. It just goes to show what a little brain Hillman has. If guys were hitting pizzas and cheeseburgers to first, then absolutely, put Butler at first; but until then, stick with the obvious athlete in Ross Gload.
