Mets fire Willie Randolph
Like celebrity deaths, manager/GM/coach firings come in threes. First Bavasi, now Randolph. Mr. Barnett, you're on notice.

Barnett may be safe
Turns out the Mets fired their pitching coach, Rick Peterson, too. So three are down. But a new three could sprout up any day now.
This is just my opinion. I could easily be wrong.

The Mets also fired their first-base coach
So a new set of three is already begun. Barnett, you’re back to being on notice.

Please, please, please have the Mets
Either hire Wally Backman or Tony Pena to be manager. That would be…awesome.

Not much of a surprise here.
The Mets think they have a better team than they actually do, and Randolph was exactly a master of roster management.
A mind without purpose will walk in dark places.
