The following isn't about you, Royalsfaninmarinertown

Now we’re going to start getting fans complaining about the Royals giving up on another “great talent” like we heard about Gotay last year and Keppinger. Or we can wait a few months for Wellemeyer’s ERA to skyrocket (and Keppinger’s OPS to free fall).

This is just my opinion. I could easily be wrong.

I know....

My girls picked a game for me to watch, while my wife was at school and I was making dinner. They chose PIT v. STL, and I caught the announcers talking about how great of a find he was, and how KC (among others) had cast him off.

Those guys love him right now, though… I’m not upset that he left the Royals. I thought it was a good idea, and still do.

I really don't know what to say... Did the post above this signature make sense? Probably not.

Keppinger and Gotay

would look nice as a DP combo for us…

Fred Patek and Frank White

Would look nice as a DP combo for us. I mean, today, at age 50 or whatever they are. They could outplay TPJ! And consider the grit!

Hee hee

I was hoping for a more angry response from you, given the Keppinger-Gotay bait. :P

Keppinger would look good at 2B

That’s about all I can manage.

This is just my opinion. I could easily be wrong.

Yeah,

he’s all right there, but not worth crying over.

I Don't Care

What he does from here on out, he was Bill Walton “terrible” for us. Domo arigato and sayonara, Wellemeyersan.

I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.

Dave Duncan

Hall of Fame.

Those Who Can

Do; those who can’t, teach. Duncan and Lau were backup catchers for the ‘64 A’s and never rose much higher as players.

I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.

He always looked coked up on the mound.

Maybe he cleaned up his act and now he can ptich to his abilities… just sayin.

Don't Stop Believing!

I don't think

the Dave Duncan argument is bad at all. He has turned more washed up pitchers into above average/ good than I can remember. Off the top of my head I can think of:

Troy Percival
Kyle Loche
Braden Looper
Joel Piniero has even looked good this year (I think)
Jeff Suppan (I guess you could argue that one since he was the Royals #1…haha)
and the greatest one ever: Jeff Weaver

I think they are more but don’t feel like doing research. Add Welleymeyer to the list for the time being.
