Largest Post-9/11 Comeback in Royals History!

Today's 11-10 win, after being down 10-3, is the Royals largest come-from-behind victory since Sept.1, 2001 when the Royals defeated the Texas Rangers 8-7.
In that game, the Royals were down 7-0 after Kris Wilson allowed seven runs (four earned) in four innings pitched. Frank Catalanato and Raphael Palmeiro each hit steroid-induced homers to build the Rangers lead.
The Royals would respond with a seven-run sixth, highlighted by homers from Joe Randa and Carlos Febles.
Luis Alicea (no joke, Luis Alicea) drove in the winning run in the 11th inning with a walk-off single.

There have been other seven run comebacks since 2001, but I don’t care about those. Mike Aviles was not on those teams.
