Duffy does work
Duffy -- 7 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 8 K (all swinging)
His piggyback partner, Juan Abreu -- 2 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 4 K
Also, B-Royals pitcher Kelvin Herrera, who's 19th birthday isn't for another six months -- 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 6 K

So far Duffy looks like the second coming of Ed Cegarra
And that’s a good thing.
This is just my opinion. I could easily be wrong.
Might be even better. Duffy's definitely got the better fastball of the two.
Actually, Cegarra might be a better comparison for Kelvin Herrera. He might not have the same success as Cegarra in the future, but their situations and backgrounds are similar.

Yes, they are different pitchers
And I like Duffy’s upside more. They’ve just dominated the Midwest League in a similar fashion.
This is just my opinion. I could easily be wrong.

Agreed.
What’s impressive with Duffy so far is his pretty low walk rate. I figured he might struggle with walks this year, seeing how he did last year in an inferior league. Last year his walk rate was 4.10 per 9, but it’s only 2.10 per 9 in this year’s sample size so far. His strikeout rate is down, but it’s still a very impressive 11.53 per 9, and it was unrealistic to expect him to repeat last year’s K rate…
It helps when you don’t walk anyone in you’re last 21 innings, but…

Doesn't look like a strikeout pitcher to me, but I'm not scout. Is this a "good face?"
