There was talk he fouled a ball off his leg and had to be taken out.
If that is not true, it just is an egregious case of Hillman costing us a game by over-emphasizing defense.
He did hit himself. And it looked like it coulda been bad.
But he DID manage to hit a grandslam after that. Bu still, 4 run lead is good to take out someone who isn’t feeling great

It’s true that Soria inspires confidence…but it seems like when the Royals play Boston or NY especially, these kinds of losses seem to happen with some regularity. Not 12-11 games, of course…I mean just heartbreakers, blown leads, etc….you grow to expect the worse, and then it comes.

That's very common for closers
They pitch one inning at a time and rarely more than two days in a row, so they have difficulty doing more than that.
