Game 93 Open Thread - White Sox (53-37) at Royals (40-52)

Chicago White Sox at Kansas City Royals, Jul 10, 2008 8:10 PM EDT

So in the first two games of this series the Royals lost on a two-run sacrifice fly and a balk, while blowing leads of three and five runs... just a generic 5-2 loss tonight would be something of an improvement.

Your pitching contest is Bhuhueelheuereheleeyueleluelele (3.91 ERA) versus Greinienke (3.62 ERA) in the most subtly difficult spelling matchup of the season.

One of the ways Greinke impresses me is the way he pitches to the whole strike zone. So many major league pitchers get stuck pitching in certain areas of the zone, becoming predictable. Greinke’s quite unpredictable. We really need to hold on to him at ALL COSTS. – TL

Then leave gathright in Buck’s spot in center, and move Olivo to behind the pllate?

Plus Soria has been used quite a bit recently and there were some hard hit balls off him last night. You never know!

10/100

Somehow, I don’t think Dayton’s going to bring that up to JoPo the next time they play the “60 game”

Dayton only likes to point out the tools in his awesome offensive acquistions: stalwarts like Gathright and TPJ.

Kurjikan is going to get Teahen DFA’d

They probably think Soria's the Royals best player, cuz saves are a great measure of balue

Other than RBI master and fiery team leader Jose Guillen

The Royals couldn’t possibly develop a good player. At least not until GMDM got here. Greinke is an outlier: Butler, Gordon, etc. will all fail because they don’t have Dayton’s stamp of approval. Gordon wen to college for chrissakes.
