Carlos Rosa?
Where has he gone? He hasn't pitched since July 13th. Is he hurt, or participating in the olympics or something?

Can't be the Olympics
I think anyone on a 40 man roster is ineligible for the Olympics. He was supposed to start Sunday but was scratched.

Seems like something Bob Dutton or Dick Kaegel should be reporting
But I’m sure they’ll instead tell us what Ken Harvey is up to or more about those snazzy necklaces the players are wearing.

As Rosa is still on Omaha's active roster and not on the 7-day DL, I would conclude that he was just skipped a start for some minor physical reason and there's nothing more than that
Or, they skipped him and they are now evaluating him. But if they haven’t put him on the 7-day DL, I would guess that they think he’ll make his next start.
This is just my opinion. I could easily be wrong.

No worries
I just think it’s pretty unlikely given that we’re definitely sellers at the deadline.

They might be skipping him
in an effort to keep his season innings total down to an acceptable level. Combined with the AAA All-Star break, this would give him about two weeks off in the middle of his season. Maybe not a bad idea.

Plus during his scheduled start
they were starting John Bale for an inning they might not have wanted him and pitch the 2nd inning. Keep his routine the same as normal.

Could be
Although usually when teams limit a pitcher’s innings, they do it by moving him to the bullpen for a little while so that he keeps pitching, but the IP stays down. It’s odd to completely bench a pitcher for this long unless there is some injury/pain/discomfort. But who knows.
This is just my opinion. I could easily be wrong.

True
But he was on the Omaha website as scheduled to start one of Sunday’s doubleheader games, and he didn’t pitch. My guess is its a minor injury.
