Around SBN: NHL Trade Rumors: Do You Make A Move For Rick Nash?

Article from KC star, i'm sure most of you have read it or seen it already, but its still pretty cool.

"He got off to a slow start and is only hitting .240 or something," Randa said. "But this kid has legitimate power. I think he’s going to have big-time power when he reaches the big leagues. He’s got 12 or so home runs there, and that is not a hitters’ park or a hitters’ league."

Joe was not only impressed with Mike's hitting ability, but his attitude.

"He’s got such a great attitude and knows he doesn’t have it all figured out yet," Randa said. "He really works hard at all phases. When I was up there, he kept taking ground ball and ground ball, and finally I had to shut him down."

"I just said, ‘Dude, that’s enough for one day.’ But he doesn’t want to quit."

I forgot also,

that Randa wants to work with the Royals organization more in this capacity. To go around and help the younger players develop. Personally i would love this, joe was really fundamentally sound and a great all round ball player.

"not a hitters park or league"

This is encouraging – Moose now has 14 homers, there are only 3 guys with more than that in the Midwest League…and they are all 22 years old. (6 other guys have 14, I didn’t check their ages)

My mother's basement is better than YOUR mother's basement!!

Yeah, Burlington is a black hole for offense

so is the Midwest League.

He’s hitting .237/.313/.393 at home and .275/.330/.451 on the road.
