Game 86 Open Thread - Royals (38-47) at Orioles (43-40)
Kansas City Royals @ Baltimore Orioles
Um.. I'm not good at math, considering I labeled yesterday's game "#87".
There's a huge difference between a 2-2 split and a 1-3 series lost, but to earn that split the Royals will have to top those unstoppable Orioles.

Davies v. Olson....
...not sure who’s got the advantage on that one. For some reason Lefebvre incorrectly said on the pre-game show that the Royals “have beaten Olson” this year, referring to Bannister’s 4-0 shutout. Perhaps he’s been sniffing too many marigolds, because the Royals beat Brian Burres that game.
Olson defeated the Royals in his start on May 10th…...who knows what Lefebvre is thinking.

Seems to me he was just used to being the best player on the team and hadn’t adjusted to being an adult professional. Kind of like always being the smartest kid in the class in HS then being hated by everyone in college.

I like the part
where Jason Kidd shoots a two for the Nets, and he manages to:
1. Call Kidd “Reggie Miller”
2. Say that he scored for the Pacers.
3. Call it a three-pointer.
It’s so much fun.

the other anchors are like “thanks for the report” and he lets out this incoherent sigh because he knows he’s never broadcasting again

Okay, so...
multiple choice:
A) Aubrey Huff is on steroids.
B) Aubrey Huff is somehow reverting to his 2003-04 peak.
C) Kyle Davies is not very good.
D) Aubrey Huff has been kidnapped by aliens, and Alien Clone X2426 is now slugging over .500 since the body snatch.
E) Captain Regression has Davies by the balls
F) Man, fuck this.
G) All of the above
