He Didn't Just

Crap himself, he crapped everyone.

ron mahay did not receive gil's game plan.

shame on him.

where .500 might; but, probably won't, happen.

Mahay = a god

let’s trade him while we can

by loyal2sdad on Jul 7, 2008 3:01 PM EDT   0 recs

So how long until we trade Mahay for...

...a scrub Dayton drafted in the Atlanta system?

Destined for failure.

jeff francouer?

Gathright bunts into double play....

Dioner Navarro lets the ball bounce on purpose…..joey is busy pouting and not running….DP

by Fernando Vina School of Linguistics on Jul 7, 2008 3:03 PM EDT   0 recs

i don't know if i should be 'rooting for' or 'afraid of'

what Guillen is going to say to Gaithright after that anti-hustle play.

by benfunke on Jul 7, 2008 3:12 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

If you suck as much as Gathright

You should really be a world class bunter.

Gathwright as 2nd hitter

I guess we can mark that off our list of options. I think he’s best as the #9, where he can’t get us into so much trouble. He’s been awful in the key “gritty” ABs usually reserved for your Gruds type slap hitters.

DDJ to teammates:

can anybody here play this game?

by JobDDT on Jul 7, 2008 3:04 PM EDT   0 recs

I'm adding Gathright

to the list of guys I root against so we can give up on them.

(Actually, he was already on that list)

by loyal2sdad on Jul 7, 2008 3:05 PM EDT   0 recs

agreed

its a crowded field

by royalsreview on Jul 7, 2008 3:07 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

2 games under .500 for the road trip?

I’ll take that, we should’ve been swept in both series.

Destined for failure.

by JobDDT on Jul 7, 2008 3:06 PM EDT   0 recs

JP Howell will have a better career than Luke Hochevar.

There, I said it.

Destined for failure.

by JobDDT on Jul 7, 2008 3:11 PM EDT   0 recs

JP is already a LH RP

Even Jimmy Gobble looked dominant in that role last year. The fact that they’ve already moved him there tells me we didn’t give up much. Didn’t get much either, but that’s another story.

by Big Guy on Jul 7, 2008 3:13 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

that's on account of their rotation being so stacked

most of his appearances have been for an inning or more—he’s hardly a LOOGY

This space intentionally left blank.

JP Howell replacing Garza

that trade looked decent at the time….damnit

I don't mind Bob Davis

especially compared to Tompkins commercials. I wish I were a commercial contractor in need of rubber hoses, gaskets, and whateverthehells so I could march into a Tompkins office and tell them I’m not buying from them because of those stupid fucking ads.

Also, John Bale should be the new spokesman for Duronautic Doors. (There’s a punch! Gone!)

by Porcus on Jul 7, 2008 3:12 PM EDT   0 recs

I have to think

Trey is pretty fed up with Joey’s poor baserunning.

how did butler hit an infield single?

Gameday/Cast does not provide this vital info.

by benfunke on Jul 7, 2008 3:15 PM EDT   0 recs

but it was ruled a single? (rather than an error)

because it was a close play? but then shouldn’t there be an error on the advancing runner?

by benfunke on Jul 7, 2008 3:20 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Go to Gameday and watch Gathrights DP Bunt

you will shit yourself… i cant believe that piece of shit

Very funny this pm,

Royals and fans under siege the past few days. The humor helps.

Seeing Longoria is like seeing the dorky girl from high school that had a crush on you at your high school reunion, who is now a hot astrophysicist, while you ended up with the cheerleader that is now 400 lbs.

I want Soria for 2, Alex

Seriously, he has hardly been used on this road trip.

Why screw around? If it’s still a one run game in the bottom of the 8th (and most likely, it will be!), just go straight to Soria, and let tomorrow take care of itself.

by loyal2sdad on Jul 7, 2008 3:24 PM EDT   0 recs

Amen

Let’s worry about having a lead on the White Sox tomorrow night if we’re lucky enough to be in that spot.

Let's go lower 4/9ths of the order

It’s up to you guys. We could really use an insurance run or two, with Mahay probably at his limit and 6 outs to go. Perhaps Ramirez can do the trick, but I’ll feel better once we get through the 8th.

that Aviles got a hit, probably only b/c it gives TJ a chance to drive in a run.

only a HR would do there.

Hillman won’t pinch hit for TPJ with a lead.

Maybe he can get HBP

At last

Trey has given up on bunting. Now strike out and avoid the DP, Tony.

Yes!

0 for 4, with 3 Ks.

How good had DDJ been this year, considering his RBI total, and the fact that batting immediately in front of him all year has been either Pena or Gathright, or sometimes both?
