double a team

hi.  i'm gonna go to  the saturday naturals game.  was wondering if there are any good prospects i should pay attention to besides their starting pitchers.

i'm a rangers fan, so i don't really know much about the royals farm system.  if anybody could tell me the top players to look out for maybe i can get a few good pics of them and post them up here.

thanks.

Meh

We really don’t have any position prospects there. Our only real prospects there are the starting pitchers (and relievers!).

-Brian McFall has some power but doesn’t make enough contact.
-So does Mario Lisson but his plate discipline is very poor.
-Mark Maddox has a nice approach and can spray the ball around the field. Might have a future as utility guy.
-Jose Duarte is FAST.

Yea. Not much.

Irving Falu

Falu’s numbers since the break are rather good.
AVG G AB R H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO SB CS OBP SLG OPS
.329 46 173 30 57 9 1 3 24 20 16 3 6 .397 .445 .842
good BB-SO Ratio but not much power and isn’t stealing bases well but not terrible. He’ll probably be in Omaha to join the group of OF’rs.

He is currently their best player but don’t expect anything long term from the 25yr old light hitting outfielder.

Funny that he’s made it this far. I’ve worked out with him and his brother a few times and he never seemed like he was great. I never thought he’d be anything more than a A ball guy.

i didn't get pics of anybody from the naturals

when i checked here later that night there were no responses. their pitchers are quite good though. got a few snaps of julio borbon and elvis andrus though (riders prospects)

i will see the naturals again next sunday play against the drillers. i won’t have a digital camera for that game though, just a disposable. will see what i can get.
