Around SBN: Are The Orioles Bad Or Unlucky With Their Young Pitching?

Programming Note

I'm leaving for my honeymoon (Ireland, mainly the West and the Aran Islands) in about an hour, and just wanted to remind everyone that the site is in your hands over the next 10 days.

All the Game Threads are pre-programmed to appear at the right times (though if we have a rainout or something...) and I've also mixed in a few extra stories that will appear magically later this week.

NHZ and NYRoyal will be moderating the site as well in my absence, so essentially, if I wasn't mentioning it right now, many people would not even notice the change.

The wedding was on Saturday and somehow both Mary and I managed not to faint or mess up things too badly, and it seemed like everything at the reception etc. went well and that, most importantly, people were having fun. (The first stop of the bachelor party on Thursday was the Indians-Orioles game, which was also fun and completely random.) Yesterday, my return to semi-normal life began with checking the Royals score and seeing that Banny had been lit up for ten runs and didn't escape the second inning. Yikes.

Peace out and go Royals,

Will

Andres Blanco

Two of his career 19 RBI that day.

Remember when Kevin Kietzman was calling for him to replace Berroa because he was a good glove man?

Just keep oiling up your bod when you are life guarding and the women will be all over you

One of them will take you down soon. Resistance is futile.

This is just my opinion. I could easily be wrong.

Enjoy The Trip

And say hi to everyone for me. I’m sure they’ll all be asking about me.

I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.

Or at least a “obvious joke” font.

I realized the obvious joke about a minute after posting my snarky reply. I think the length of this disappointing season is affecting my perception abilities…you bastard.

My guess is DL

People forget how much criticism George got back in the day for perpetually being on the DL.

He actually played in 155 games that year (pretty sure that is just regular season)

SoCal on a Saturday…my guess is he was too hungover to play.

Congratulations

We went to Ireland on our honeymoon as well. The West is gorgeous and a wonderful area to tour. The Dingle peninsula is my favorite.

All the best to you, Will.

Congrats

My wedding box score is nothing to brag about a 12-5 loss to the Yankees. Ugh I won’t even post it hopefully my marriage continues to outperform the Royals.
