PrintAnother Bannister start, another good time at the ballpark for the opposition. To be fair, Bannister's two home runs allowed have been Miguel Cabrera solo shots. Just think, if he could avoid making those mistake pitches, he might be good! And we can't hit Verlander so far. And Ross Gload is 3-for-3, as his empty batting average rises to help guarentee his starting spot next year. And Gordon's hurt. Other than that, this game has been great.

He pretty much is just throwing his junk fastball / cutter / slider right over hte plate tonight
Only real difference I noticed was A. throwing his changeup to righties, and B. better location. Not to mention he’s finally pitching inside.

Which is why I hate the maddux comparision. Because maddux has totally awesome stuff, just like Jamie Moyer does- neither light up the gun but they both have sick movement and command. Bannister needs to find one or the other if he’s going to outpitch his numbers imo
