Our catcher caught a ball at the plate and had the runner out by 7 or 8 steps

and the runner just plowed him. Catcher ended up on his back with the runner on top of him. Catcher started throwing punches immediately. Benches cleared and for a few minutes it was pretty crazy. Our CF had time to come in and throw some punches.

The only real negative here is that Olivo is going to be suspended for a game or 2

But for a backup catcher, that’s not a big deal. He’ll just appeal until the team is about to face a couple of RHP’s in a row and then drop his appeal. No harm done.
