Game 115 Overflow Thread
Picking up where we left off from last night's overflow:
When a girl leaves her home at eighteen, she does one of two things. Either she falls into saving hands and becomes better, or she rapidly assumes the cosmopolitan standard of virtue and becomes worse. Of an intermediate balance, under the circumstances, there is no possibility. The city has its cunning wiles, no less than the infinitely smaller and more human tempter. There are large forces which allure with all the soulfulness of expression possible in the most cultured human.

That HR looked robbable for Maier
Instead he just got in the MLB 08 squat-pose and watched it go over the fence. Hmm.

Evening Gentlemen
Just got home. How did Hooch pitch?
by Warden11 on Aug 6, 2008 10:27 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
he started off pretty well
but then after the 4th the wheels fell off kinda, would have looked better if Mahay could have gotten the last out. Seemed to struggle with his control. I think a patient team like Boston is a tough matchup for a pitcher like him, but anyway not awful, not great.
I hereby resign from this post.

Interesting
If we lose, it’s our 200th loss to Boston, and only Tampa Bay hasn’t lost 200 games to Boston.
Sarcasm™. It's the new gravy.
