Joba Chamberlain to DL, won't face Royals
Joba's throwing shoulder is wonky so he's off to the DL. He was scheduled to start against the Royals, but now it will be somebody else (no one is quite sure who it might be....Hughes off the DL by then maybe?). This is not huge Royals news, but since I'll likely be at Yankee Stadium then, I'd much rather see Hughes or some AAA scrub start for the Yanks than Joba.

We have tickets for the 17th. I wanted to see Yankee Stadium before they tear it down.

I don't doubt he's good
But the media paints him out to be the greatest pitcher who ever lived. Let’s have him pitch a full season before we anoint him as the next big thing.

Definitely overrated -- most of the games he's not even pitching the 8th or 9th
just the meaningless 6-7 innings that come before.

While definitely over-hyped...
...he’s damned good and I’m glad the Royals won’t be facing him.
