The mark of a good team is being able to win on the road, right? That's what separates the contenders from the pretenders, no? The elite teams win on the road and the bad teams don't. And those small-ball teams with great pitching are especially good on the road, as that's when playing the game the right way really matters.

Tigers: 33-39

Twins: 31-40
Royals: 29-40

Isn't the league as a whole much worse than usual on the road this year?

Or was that story just being played up more than usual earlier this season?

this means that we are not doing our jobs as fans at home. Now I understand why DM included EVERYONE in his harsh analysis. I now believe that his “housecleaning” means that he’s going to get rid of the current Royals fans and import “the Stepford fans”. Problem solved.
