But Delmon seems like exactly the type of player the twins are NOT likely to go after. Bad plate discipline, bad defense, lots of power.

But I think there’s something too it — tools, but not much performance. Rumored power, but didn’t really show it in the minors. And their organizatinoal hitting philosophy is what most would call “insitutionalized bad plate discipline.” I mean, their scouting staff practically says that in interviews.

I just can't help but thinking what impact Shealy might have had earlier in the year.
I know it’s a very small sample size, but he can still punish pitchers for mistakes. That’s something our first baseman couldn’t do until September.
