We need Sabathia next year and we're in the playoffs.
Sabathia, Meche, Grienke, Davies, Hochevar = Division title.

Um,
maybe. We’d still need to hit. Also, we aren’t signing Sabathia. Not very likely, anyway.

Wikipedia is on it
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pabst_Brewing_Company
"In 1997 one of the saddest chapters in Pabst’s proud history was written. Facing the cold reality of bleak financial performance at its flagship brewery, it closed all Milwaukee facilities—brewery and headquarters. A century-and-a-half after its birth the last barrel rolled out its fabled doors.
Corporate headquarters was moved to San Antonio, Texas."

Okay, so
Go White Sox, beat the Tigers.
Then go Twins, beat the White Sox.
I think that all works out nicely enough.
Sarcasm™. It's the new gravy.
I thought I wouldn't be disappointed
if the Royals lost today, but seeing it happen so sloppily made me think we could have won it. I guess I should feel happy with the series win, at least.
Thanks for the best season since 2003, and second best this century, Royals – see you in March.
Chaim Mattis Keller New York City's # 1 Royals fan!
Sorry I missed it... but I guess not
I suppose, as phil noted above, that a Teahen groundout was the perfect way to punctuate the season.
RR was right — success against someone like Baker would be a real sign of progress. He’s been one of the top 20 pitchers in the AL this year. Still, the Royals did beat Liriano. Excelsior!
OMG Banny. FWIW I am only crdtng u w/3 runs allwd bc of DDJ OMFG
Good thing Greinke didn't pitch
I know it’s a meaningless game, but.. fuck that. I wanted him to pitch.
75 wins is a decent step forward
As a whole, it was a decent season. Here’s hoping we can improve by at least another 6 games next year.
This is just my opinion. I could easily be wrong.
+1
While it certainly didn’t look like we had improved much during some stretches, 75 wins is about where I think we needed to progress to this year.
A mind without purpose will walk in dark places.

Yes we did
I put together a pre-season “Big Prediction Contest”. I’m going to be posting the results and the winner soon. If you want a hint on the winner: I often argue/debate with him. That should narrow it down.
This is just my opinion. I could easily be wrong.

I'm Pretty Sure
It wasn’t me. I went conservative compared to most, if I remember right. I’ll look forward to seeing the winner(s).

NHZ!!!1111
The Borg self-destructs!
Please, if there’s a God… Lord, you took Shaun/Sean/Shawn Marcum from my 2009 fantasy team, even though I had him at $8. You let Shin-Soo Choo come back from Tommy John after I dropped him in the offseason and turn into a .900 OPS outfielder. God, I don’t ask for much — high-speed internet access, a nice house, cheerleaders in french maid outfits bringing me hot fudge sundaes. I accept what I do and don’t get.
But please, Lord, if youi’re listening, let the winner of the prediction contest be be Joel or billybutlerformvp.
