who do we root for?
If Detroit wins today they will tie with the Royals in overall record, so really they would finish in last again. I believe KC had the advantage in games vs. Detroit, which technically wins the tie-breaker. So do we root for the Sox to win today or Detroit? I would say the Sox for two reasons. 1. It forces an old-fashioned playoff for the playoffs. 2. It gives us fourth place outright. PS What's with teams not playing all of their games? Oakland is one game short and has the same number of wins as KC but one less loss. I guess that moves the Royals in front for draft order, but seems a little off in the grand scheme. PPS I hadn't noticed that the Yanks had the fourth-best record but didn't make it. Way to go under-performing AL Central.

I love how dumb some ChiSox fans are:
what the french? toast!
was this post meant to be a joke? was it supposed to say 09? are you insinuating they have a chance if they lose this game?
"I Believe that Today’s Make-Up Game Against the Tigers is an Important Game for the White Sox to Win if They Want to Make the Playoffs in 2008."
No shit Shurlock…
Hope you meant to refer to 2009
Because otherwise it’s the most obvious F*ing post ever written.
Great post!
