shoot, just got back from lunch and caught the tail end

couldn’t quite figure out who was who

congrats on your measured optimism on Gordon

heh

I thought he was more your boy than mine

I have to pick my “overrated player I hate” for next year… I think it’s only fair to have a different one each year. Anyway, Young is a pretty easy choice because of the Gold Glove, his park, and now this…

I know Young is one of yours, but is he “tops” for you? I thikn we should each only get one.

Bold Prediction on Gordon

Never gonna hit .300?? I wouldnt say that at this point in his career

Bloomquist. God? Or just an illusion? You be the judge.

by focs on Jan 13, 2009 1:54 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

haha, glad you caught that

i just kinda came to that off the cuff, but yea, i can’t see him hitting .300 ever

by royalsreview on Jan 13, 2009 1:56 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

and that's the least important issue

he’s just not that kind of hitter

Frankly, given the way LD, HR/FBetc. ,works, I think if he ever manages to hit .280, it will probably be a monster near .900 OPS season

DAMN YOU RR

Trade Meche, Gordon not to hit .300, win 80 games. Quit being so damn negative !!!

Pretty good job overall

I like Gil

but they should be quietly fielding offers

they don’t have to trade him, but he could quicklly become a valuble commodity

Twenty best?

You’re the Bert Blyleven of Royals bloggers. Great stuff, but you just don’t know how to “win.”

He sounds like a geeky dweeb.

kcscoliny, you need to start your own, too

you can have me on there and talk about college QBs, which Royals prospects have the names with the highest ceiling, dudes whose batting helmets are too big, and other crucial Royals topics

Ya I don't like earhole throws.

I would say Johnny Giavotella but that is just because I don’t want his family to take a hit out on me.

I'm more a fan of the huge heads

and small helmets. Looks like they hopped off the short bus.

Missed it,

just got back from Maine again. I’m sure you acquitted yourself well….but is there a way to still listen to the show?
