Jason Taylor
Why do I not read much about this young man?
Last year in 'a' ball, at age 20, he walked 81 times, hit 17 homers and stole 40 bases!
His strikeout rate was not crazy bad, 97 in over 400 at bats (bb:so = 81:97...which is not too shabby).
He did not play in 2007. I assume because of injury but could not find out the specifics.
And he plays the corner infield, both 1b and 3b, over 20 games.
Is he worth watching as a sleeper?

2007 he was suspended the entire year by the Royals
2009 he’s suspended for the first 50 games of the season for drugs.
So is he a sleeper?
If he gets his life figured out.
I am still waiting specifics for his 2007 suspension…. and who else in 07 got suspended with him?
That's why we play the season on paper.
Maybe you don't see much about him because you are too busy doing what he does.

I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.
I don't care what you think of a man
You don’t deface him to make yourself feel better or any other reason. This is a President of the United States of America. To do that to our once leader, you do that to our country.
That's why we play the season on paper.
Meh, i'm not American
And that means i translate the way we deal with our leaders to an American context. Where I am from, he is elected and he is fair game because of it. If he does well, he gets re-elected, if he does badly he takes the flak and gets booted out. What we do not do not do is hold Presidents (Prime Minister, actually) up as a paragon of greatness to whom criticism is not allowed because it is “un patriotic”. They are a glorified public servant at the end of the day, not the second coming of Christ or the personal embodiment of what makes that country great.
Also, i’m sorry you can’t take a joke. Geez.
The Allard Baird of incisive internet discourse.
Hold on
You are not an American yet you root for the Royals?!
That's why we play the season on paper.
Does that shock you?
Yes, i went to college in Missouri, i married a Missouri girl. I have plenty of attachment to Kansas City, and the Royals.

That's ridiculous.
Oh and by the way he has shoved tons of cocaine up his nose so a joint in his hand doesn’t really do him justice.
I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.
Just a friendly tip
Before you ask us why you never read about this guy, try googling him. A google search of “jason taylor + royals” gets numerous first page hits on his recent drug suspension, and a couple of the first page hits explain his absence in 2007 (suspension). Google is your friend.
why do all that work
when there is a site which is kansas city royal specific!
A place where all that is royal can be found.
Each and every question from this post was answered, proving my point.
You may now go back to google…
seriously, typing the guy's name into google is "work?"
I’m in the middle of reading a 160-page White House report on bioethics and irreversible brain failure. That’s work.
This is a site for discussion, not for answering FAQs. I’m glad we seem like a convenience to you, but that isn’t why we’re here. That’s all I’m saying.
hmmmm....
I always use you all as my personal Encyclopedia Britannica

I understand
I ask questions too, but you also contribute quite a bit to discussions and have done so for some time. I am just mildly irked that a random person would just show up and ask us some questions that they could just as easily have gotten from the first page of a google search.
FAQ
If I was inquiring about a red sox player or a blue jay player, I wouldn’t be here, right? When I want to get first hand, personal experience answers regarding a royal player, I ask at a royal site.
Keep pushing the FAQ line chump. To bad for you your giant intellect is causing you to miss the obvious.
Missed the point
Yeah, people here know about Jason Taylor, and people at a different SB blog probably won’t. We’ve discussed him at length this offseason already. That isn’t the point.
The point is that you probably shouldn’t just show up, having barely been around for however many months, and start asking easily answered questions about why you don’t read much about him and why he wasn’t around in 2007. Information like that is easily found with a quick google search (or whatever your search engine of choice is). We’re happy to discuss the Royals’ prospects with you or whoever else, but it is nice if you come here having done your homework.
And you don’t show up and start calling me names like “chump.” Welcome to my shit list, tuna.
PS: In the case of your last sentence, it is “too,” not “to.” Normally I don’t care about stuff like that, but I felt like showing off my “giant intellect.”
is it terrible that i just wasted like 90 seconds of my life....
trying to figure out why the ‘to’ in ‘…is causing you to miss the obvious’ needed to be too?
