Around SBN: Dog Football! Which Breeds Are Best Suited For The Gridiron?

His charity event is this Friday. Surely we have a wealthy reader or two who will go, then fill us in on the sartorial and social details.

Teahen's a nice guy

but…. no, I won’t make any slam here. I wish they’d do at least a few non-cupcake questions, tho.

I'm So There!

It’s been asshole cold here since Christmas; I’m ready for a break.

I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.

I generally enjoy the chats with the players

I know they aren’t hard-hitting questions, but I often like hearing a little bit about the behind-the-scenes aspect of being a ballplayer.

Teahen is right about Fenway Park…after I graduated from HS, I went to Boston for several days and got to see some Red Sox games. The atmosphere there is incredible, it actually made me like the Red Sox…a lot (sadly, Harvard did not have the same effect—when I visited their campus, I did not instantly feel smarter). When I was applying for grad schools, I thought about Boston University sort of because of its proximity to Fenway, and then I decided that that wasn’t a good enough reason.

I found his comments on Buck intersting

re: being a student of the game, running pitchers meetings, etc. Seems like they are heading for an akward situation with him and Olivo…

We always did feel the same, We just saw it from a different point of view, Tangled up in blue.

I'm not worried

Miguel, as always, will handle it with aplomb. Maybe John Gibbons should sit in on the meetings in case things get heated and they need a mediator.

likewise

Teahen isn’t the first to mention that about Buck. The way Buck studies the game is partly why I have such a weakness for him (see also: Bannister, Brian). That, and him trying to deck Runelvys Hernandez in the dugout a few years back. Me = fan for life.

Ya and the results seem to side with Buck

Did he find it disturbing

He was the subject of trade rumors?
