It was awful
When tebow taunted the oklahoma guy and got the penalty and the broadcaster said “that’s the first thing Tebow’s done wrong in his life”, I threw up a little in my mouth.

my favorite was
“if you spend five minutes with him, it will change your life”
or something like that
I already hated Brennamen, and he did nothing to change that

You guys are right I prefer to watch
good stories about Pacman Jones, Michael Vick or Michael Irvin turning their lives around. Those stories are great until you find out what type of people they are a few months or years later. I doubt we’ll have to worry about that with Tebow. He won’t be good or even average in the pros but at least we won’t be exposed to a bunch of b.s. about how good a person he actually is when he is a P.O.S . I’ve never met him so I don’t know what he is actually like but something tells me he is alot closer to the real deal as opposed to the the guys listed above and I’ve seen countless stories over their careers about how good they are after coming from no where.

that wasn't my point
Tebow wasn’t in the wrong…the announcers were. Tebow seems like a really nice guy, and is a good rolemodel. (minus the taunting) My point was that the announcers are building him up so much that it makes the average joe hate him. They think they are praising the kid, but in reality it is so over the top it seems almost sarcastic.
If they would just leave it at hes a good kid and good player, he would be much more popular.
I’m tired of hearing about the dallas cowboys and other troublemakers as much as the next guy, but when they over state stuff like “hes never done anything wrong before” it turns people off to Tebow, and christianity in general.

Hey, he's white and Christian, so he must be a model citizen
People who meet that demographic profile are always model citizens and great role models.

I'm mocking you guys hating the stories
I would rather watch a over the top story about a good person than an over the top story about a P.O.S. It doesn’t matter who you pick the story is gonna be over the top. Do you watch much TV? Everything is sensationalized and over dramatic that is what producers make now a days so you better just get used to it.
I like to think of it like a Hit Song they will play it and play it til you hate but eventually it will go away just wait 30 days. Unless the name is Manning or Favre.

Most of those types of stories come from news shows (entertainment, sports, or the msnbc/cnn kind of shows) just having too much time and trying to fill it. this was a national championship game with what i thought were announcers that werent pulling for either team. but with lines like “if you get just 5 minutes with him your life is better for it” it was just over the top when they had plenty of other things to talk about
