Fire Seitzer
If St. Louis doesn't want Hal, I'll take him. At least the man knows how to get on base!

Hitting coaches don't matter a damn
Just my two cents.

Surely you aren't suggesting
that Yuniesky Betancourt’s inability to hit can be blamed on anyone other than Kevin Seitzer.

I'm not sure what else we'd blame it on
because obviously, if you watch the guy play, he’s super-duper talented

Unless the hitters actually pay attention and buy in to the approach
then yes, it probably doesn’t matter.
But George Brett and Charlie Lau come to mind. So that’s like once in 40 years!

I still shake my head wondering why they can him
McRae was arguably the best manager the Royals have had since Howser.

McGwire as a hitting coach?
What, was Dave Kingman unavailable?

I know you are making a joke, but...
.236 .302 .478 for Kingman does not compare with
.263 .394 .588 for McGwire.
McGwire had 241 more PAs, yet Kingman had 220 more strikeouts.

So you are saying he did it in college too then?
53 homers in 503 ABs at USC from 1982-84.

He Pitched, Too!

I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.

Yeah, he had some pretty good stats as a college pitcher, sort of a lesser reincarnation of Babe Ruth.
Do you actually have the Glacier Pilots card? Am I right in thinking that back at the height of the frenzy for McGwire, that was an extremely high dollar card?

Would obviously love Hal but
I doubt he has any interest in returning to this organization. He will definitely get a job. Probably on a contender.

But would another team let him DH as well?
Go Royals!
