Winter League Updates #2
Today the Surprise Rafters face Steve Strasburg. This will be Stevies first outing since his "fall from grace" performance. 8 earned runs in three innings proves he is human. I am hoping that Mous and Bianchi can make it two bad starts in a row.
Check out the updated stats below: Why is it that both Duarte and Lisson look so good in the off season but when they get to the Royals farm teams they flopped like a dying fish. Bianchi is still having a pretty good fall season with the bat. It would be nice to see some more power from him. Hartsock and Sisk are putting up some good numbers and hopefully will be given a shot to make the Royals bullpen next season.

Moose has kind of cooled off big style
And still can’t fucking get on base.

had one hit today
a double off Strasburg. Biachi was 2-5 with a HR and 3 RBI.

Stras. had four shutout innings going
until Mous hit his double. I am really hoping that Bianchi makes it through AFL without getting hurt and that he gets a legitimate shot at the SS position. Yuni needs to go somewhere else. I am just afraid that Dayton’s ego will make him play Yuni rather he sucks or not. Good to see Mous get that double. I also like the numbers Hartsock is putting up.

yeah, we've seen enough people skipping AAA and fail
Take it slow, Yuni isn’t the worst thing in the world(hits better than the crappy version of Angel for starters)

I still don't understand the Betancourt criticism
Considering some of the recent Royals shortstops—Neifi Perez, Tony Pena, and perhaps my least favorite Royal of all time—Felix Martinez!

But that's like saying
Chlamydia is the best of the Sexually transmitted diseases, it’s better than HIV and Syphilis!
Just because he is better than some other Royal’s SS through history doesn’t mean you want him within 500 miles of your team.

If Chlamydia was on the Braves, I would make a pretty good bet Dayton would sign him as SS

give yuni 160 games and you have as bad of a season as Neifi had
and yuni is worse than TPJ in 2008 and not much better than TPJs small sample size in 2009

Aaron Crow is now in Suprise, will pitch either today or Thursday
So keep an eye on that.

Moosetacos
Got the one hit off Strasbourg, a double that turned into a run. Bianchi had a three run blast and another hit. Our relievers did not get roughed up. It was good all around.

Patience, patience...
Hartsock has pitched exactly one inning in AAA—two strikeouts (yay!), 3 Hits, a HR, 2 ER, and a walk (not yay!). After a pretty good year in AA, he needs to show the ability to get AAA hitters out. Give him at least a couple of months of solid performance before sending him to KC.
Sisk’s only been a pro for 2 years and has never pitched above high-A ball, where he was admittedly really, really good. He’s the closer for NW Arkansas to start 2010. A September call-up at the earliest, and I have no problem waiting until 2011 to see him.
No need to rush these guys, especially when they show the ability (esp. Sisk) to be on the way to being a benefit to the big league club in the future.
If you look closely, it really says "CentralChamps2012."

I don't think anyone is rushing these players.
Since Mous is underwhelming and Hosey is in the tank and will probably be held back a grade we have to have something to get excited about.

But its a slow-building excitement
Like enjoying a well-aged wine (or scotch, if you prefer—ok, I know you do)—it’s better if you wait for it.
