Royals Links: Tim Hudson Destroys Our National Innocence, Fat Little Girlfriends, Etc.
Remember when Alex Rodriquez destroyed our national innocence by making some kind of contract decision or statement during the opening of the World Series? Maybe you don't because the effects of this move were so traumatic for so many, that your memory from those fraught days may be shaky. Well be afraid, because now information regarding Tim Hudson's employment is out there. Expect ten national columnists basically saying they want Tim Hudson dead tomorrow. Ten, or negative five.
After the jump: an update on TPJ, a cool WAR by birthday database, tickets for hot girls, the perils of baseball in the DR, an ode & obituary for GeoCities, a great blog devoted to horrible Orioles baseball cards, and much much more.

I could be writing about Oliver Goldsmith and Mary Leapor
But this sounds much better.

Looks like Greinke has a little company
While looking at the O’s card of the day site, I noticed a card of Dave Crouthers. It stated that he retired after being traded to the Cubs in 2005. In the comments there is a link to a story of why he retired:

did he try to come back?
a sudden retirement like that just seems like a bad decision, especially in an industry like baseball

Doesn't look like it
He’s still under 30, the Royals should sign him. Maybe players with anxiety problems are the next market inefficiency. :)

Heh, on the Mathews post (most delusional man on the planet), one of the posters said that...
no ball player would just say the he sucked.

I'm not reading it
But that someone out there felt the need to write a story as to whether the WNBA needed to change the “shape” of the game says something about something. It must have been written by one of their fans. Or the other one.
If you look closely, it really says "CentralChamps2012."

Matt Young NOW!
though he’s just at AA last season, he could spend half-season at Omaha and then fill in when Crisp goes down with an injury. i realize a player’s makeup gets overrated, but his makeup is right in line with Moore/Hillman’s preferences. (this is in relation to the Atl CF prospects link.)

I'm a little sad to see Geocities passing :(
I got the email earlier this month and went out there, finding a webpage I had out there since something like 2001 and tossed it back onto my hard drive for nostalgia’s sake

My Web Page on Geocities
has been up and ignored (by me) for quite a few years. I don’t know if there’s any reason to bother finding a new host and re-creating all the html. Maybe I’ll see if someone else on the net has a good source of information on Star Hawkins, the Star Rovers and the Space Cabby.
