I think that if that happens...
Insanity Wolf should get two job offers.
Go Royals!

I want want that guy is smoking
That’s some powerful stuff.
I see a little bit of Jeff Francoeur in Jacobs, in the sense both are gritty, hard-nosed players.
These are exactly the kind of players the Mets want to fill the locker room with next year
Jacobs would be a good bat in the lineup
Mets find themselves, again, searching for a first baseman to help them secure a playoff spot in 2010
Lol

No kidding.
He also claims Jacobs is Joe Posnanski’s favorite player. I read pretty much everything JoPo throws up on his blog, and I certainly don’t remember him writing that.
Then again:Jacobs & Francoeur together in the Mets lineup would surely make them invincible.

Poz had an article (or blog)
about how he likes Jacobs b/c he is, in effect, very flawed. He talks about how he’s either going to strike out or hit a HR. So i guess that’s where the guy got the idea Jacobs is his favorite.
It looks like it must’ve been an article for the Star b/c I can’t find it in his blog archives.

I think it was a Star column.
I used to work with an old man that told me. Son, every workplace has a dumbass, if you don't have one where you work, then I'm afraid you're it.

The writer links to the JoPo
column in the article. It’s from SI, my mistake for not reading more carefully, though Posnanski clearly points out that he dislikes Jacobs as a ballplayer, just likes him as a character, much like his boyhood mancrush on Duane Kuiper. It makes the article that much more hilarious, because the writer doesn’t seem to understand JoPo’s sarcasm.(Or didn’t bother to read the column of Posnanski’s he linked to.)

He also made the point
That Jacobs hits some beautiful Homeruns. Which he does, when hits them they stay hit. But like you say, he also made it pretty clear that he was a very limited at best baseball player.

That would be very very nice
I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal.

If we nontender Jacobs instead of arbitration
We’ll probably get in a bidding war with Minaya and he’ll end up getting $6M.

The Comments Indicate
The Mets fans aren’t as clueless as the blogger.
I used to be an A's fan until they left town and got good.
